Character History[]
Born on Krypton as Lora Jor-El, she was amongst a rare few on Krypton, she was a twin. She was the younger twin to Kal-El. Twins were rare on Krypton, only her aunt; Alura Zor-El was one with one difference; Alura was an identical twin. As a baby, Lora and Kal-El were sent to Earth as their planet was dying. Their cousin was to follow and ensure they were raised and protected on Earth, but Kara Zor-El's pod was shifted off course by the explosion of their planet.
On Earth, the pod containing the babies split in two and landed in separate parts of a field. Lora was taken in by a family called the Elwoods. Wealthy yet humble people, they called the little girl Laura Juliet Elwood.
The Elwoods encouraged Laura to use her abilities in the safety of their estate. At some point during her late teens, the Elwoods were killed in a hurricane. The same hurricane that allowed Laura to finally come face to face with her twin after fourteen years apart.
