Lillian and Vivienne meet while both on the run from the Volturi, Lillian because of her manipulative telepathy and Vivienne because she's a werewolf, and deicide to team up to evade capture. However, when the Volturi are closing in on Vivienne and Lillian, Lillian allows Vivienne to get caught as a distraction for her escape. Vivienne manages to escape but vows vengeance against Lillian for crossing her.
